Back to School BBQ

Wednesday, August 28thth 4:00pm-6:30pm at Chester Academy

Catered Event!  Come early for Hamburgers & Hot dogs while supplies last!  Meet your teacher under their designated Tent!

Kindergarten Round Up
Wednesday, August 28th at Chester Academy- Time: 9:30-10:30am.

A chance to meet some new buckaroo's before school starts.  Meet at the playground and share some munchins and go-gurts.  


Halloween Party
Friday, October 25th 6:00-8:00pm at MPR

A community event for children up to 4th grade.   Join us in your costumes to play games and win prizes.  Make a craft and go home with treats.  5th Grade students help out at the event.  Fun for all.  Help is always needed the day prior to decorate and put goodie bags together as well as clean up at the end of the event.  Be on the look out for
volunteer opportunities.  


Fall Fundraiser - November Calendar Raffle

November Calendar Raffle – Students will sell $10 raffles mid-Sept to mid-Oct. A daily winner will be pulled for the month of November. The 6th and 8th graders will have an opportunity to reduce their trip costs by participating and selling raffle tickets. Parents who are PTA Members, their student will receive 100% of ticket sales, otherwise Non-PTA Members, their student will receive 75%. Please see fundraiser information letter for additional details or inquire with the PTA or Class Teacher.

Holiday Make -N- Take

Friday, December 13th 4:00-6:30pm at Chester Academy Cafe

Children will make holiday gifts for loved ones.  8th Graders assist kids in making their crafts.  Parents must be present.  Be on the look out for sign up sheets, pre-registration is necessary.  If you are crafty and would like to take charge of a craft, please contact us.


*NEW ! Music Bingo/Crockpot Cook Off

Friday, January 31st 6:00-8:00pm at Chester Academy Cafe

(Bingo theme TBD) - A family fun night of BINGO.  Come one come all and chance to win prizes!  Why stop there...there's MORE...we've added Chili Cook Off - Looking for special community chef's to put their chili to the test.   Prizes are announced around 8PM.  If you aren't cooking, it's a FREE event to join us for a chili dinner and bingo. 


Mother/Son Dodgeball
Friday, February 7th 6:00pm-8:00pm at MPR

A Chester Academy tradition.  Mom's vs Son's!  Dress up in your colors and let the games begin!  Don't forget to bring $5 if you are interested in pictures!


Bedtime in Chester

* Tentative *Thursday, March 9th 6:00-8:00pm at Chester Academy Library

All elementary kids are welcome to come in pjs, bring a blanket, pillow and a favorite stuff animal. A variety of stories will be read by teachers including Principal Lacroix. Parents must be present.

Read- a- thon Fundraiser
March 9th-20th

This fundraiser will keep kids motivated to read. As kids receive pledges, they can claim prizes in the store.

Father/Daughter Dance
Friday, May 8th 7:00-9:00pm at MPR

A special event for Daughters to be with their Fathers. Volunteers are always needed to help decorate and provide refreshments.  Be on the look out for volunteer opportunities.

Field Day

Friday, June 5th All Day, Rain Date - Monday, June 8th at Chester Academy

A special FUN day filled with activities throughout the entire day on all the fields.  Event is open for ALL Grade Levels.  8th graders have the opportunity to volunteer.   Parent volunteers needed!  Field Day would not be a success without the help of donations and volunteers. Be on the look out for more information and volunteer opportunities as we approach June.

MPR is the Multiple Purpose Room at the Chester Town Offices - 84 Chester Street.

**Dates and times are subject to change.  If you are interested in chairing/co-chairing any event, please contact the Chester PTA.  Many of our senior PTA Members will be leaving us because their kids are growing up and aging out of Chester Academy.  This is a great opportunity to train with the best and overlap efforts.

  • PTA Reflections is a nationally acclaimed student recognition program to encourage artistic creativity in the classroom and at home.  Students of all grades and abilities may participate and explore the arts based on the 2019/2020 theme:  Look Within Students may choose one or all of the available arts categories:  dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts.
