Third graders are asked to spend 30 minutes on homework each night.  This time can be spent doing nightly math homework, studying spelling words and reading.  In addition, some students may need to spend additional time at home finishing work that is not completed during class time.

The format and assignments are chosen by the individual teacher.  Homework may include regular practice and reinforcement of previously taught skills, independent assignments that enrich the school curriculum, outside reading, or independent writing and continuous practice of math facts.
