The Connected Mathematics Project (CMP) is a Math curriculum designed specifically for grades 6, 7, and 8.  It is a rigorous curriculum connecting different areas within Mathematics to applications in the world outside of school.   Each unit is focused around problem situations that help students to learn an important set of related mathematical ideas and to become skillful at using these ideas to solve problems.  At times students are required to work in small teams to communicate strategies and utilize reasoning skills to deepen their mathematical understanding.  Practice with the ideas and skills are provided throughout each unit in the Applications-Connections-Extensions (ACE) questions assigned for homework.
