WELCOME TO FIFTH GRADE

    Dear Parents and Guardians,

    Welcome to fifth grade!  We are looking forward to a productive 2007-2008 school year.  We would like to share our expectations in advance for the upcoming year. We feel it is essential to share these expectations with you now in order to ease both you and your child into this important transition period before entering the upper grades. 
 
     We believe that teachers, parents, and students all are an integral part of the team.  A team based on open communication can form strong supports for each child and enhance each child’s learning experience.  Our goal is to keep the lines of communication open. We encourage you to call or email us if you have any questions or concerns. If you haven’t sent us your email address, please do!  We are looking forward to having a direct link with all fifth grade parents in each pod.  This will allow us to inform you of any changes, needs or additional information you might need about projects, links or homework.  Together, we can make this a successful year!

Class Notes

Math teachers, Mrs. Campbell and Mrs. O’Neil, encourage your child to practice their multiplication and division tables daily, as these skills will be essential throughout the year.  Mr. Collins and Mrs. O’Neil also encourage that your child can identify the fifty states.  Links to this as well as other academic practice areas can be accessed from this website under homework links.  This website was designed to help you easily access team information, schedules, curriculum overviews, policies, supply lists, homework & links, and curricular topical maps.
