Library/Media Center  

 

The goal of the library media center program is to ensure that students become independent users of ideas and information. Students in grades 5 through 8 use the media center as a resource for recreational reading, research and literature circle reading materials.  They understand the use of the computer catalog and can use it to locate materials in the Media Center.  Students begin to use the Media Center as a place to study and work in small groups.  Students begin to become familiar with the operation of AV equipment in the media center through the AV club and morning announcements.
