Skills – National Health Education Standards

These standards provide a foundation for the 5th – 8th grade guidance and health programs.

The following skills will be taught in all four grades:

Accessing information, self management, analyzing internal & external influences, interpersonal communications, decision making, goal setting, and advocacy.

Focus

In addition to the previously mentioned skills and concepts, each grade will focus on a specific guidance/health area.
