Working with decimal point to learn tens and hundreds and tenths.

 

Content:

Math Rules – problem solving using many different math skills.

Working with pattern blocks and money to create designs and assess their value; graphing costs and reworking the total value using different amounts.

Working with tangrams to tell stories and learn geometric shapes.

Investigating how to write number sentences using symbols or letters.

Using money dice to compute values of coins up to $5.00.

Dancing Decimals curriculum.

Assessment of designs and accuracy in computing values.

Informal assessment of number sentences as students take turns working at the chart
