As a whole class we will brainstorm describing words, both adjectives and verbs, to paint a picture of the sky using “silver dollar” words. Students will write descriptive sentences about their illustrations and complete a book.

Using The Jolly Postman books, students will read letters to fairytale and nursery rhyme characters, and then write a friendly letter to a character of their choice. Each student will ask a question in their letter. Students will address a self made envelope to their character.
