Visiting Chester Academy
If you are
planning on a visit to Chester Academy please be aware we have
implemented new security procedures in the building. Upon
entering the school you are required to sign in with the
receptionist in the secure vestibule. Access to the school is
not allowed until you have signed in and been cleared by the
receptionist. All outside doors are locked.
Contacting the
School
If a child is missing
from school with no notice, the school will assume your child may
be in some sort of difficulty or danger. The Emergency Location
Protocol is implemented immediately.
If your child
is going to be late or absent for the day, please
be considerate
and let the school
office know as soon as possible. You can
call 24 hours a day to leave a message.
On an average day, the office staff
must call at least 12 parents/guardians. It can take the entire
morning to locate a contact person to verify that a child is out for
the day. Failure to follow this protocol can put a child's life at
risk.
