8th Grade Course Level  Info for Pinkerton Academy - NEW


Ms Susan Buck is a certified School Counselor.  She began working at Chester Academy in August 2005, prior to that; she worked at Hampstead Central School for 9 years with grades 1 through 4.  She currently holds the position of Director of Guidance.  She is responsible for supporting students, parents and staff in grades 5 through 8.  Her responsibilities include transitioning 8th grade students to Pinkerton Academy, creating student schedules, administration of the NECAP assessment, and coordination of 504 Plans for middle school students.

Ms. Buck has a B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and a M.Ed. in Counseling from Rivier College in Nashua, NH.  Before making a career change to the field of education she worked in the computer industry for 15 years.

Ms. Buck enjoys working with and “learning from” students and parents on a daily basis.  “You never know what will challenge you from day-to-day”

Mrs. Heidi Milardo is a NH Certified Guidance Counselor.  She has worked at Chester Academy since 2001.  She currently teaches the 5th, 6th and 8th Grade Healthy Living Program, which is part of the Integrated Arts rotation.

Mrs. Milardo has a B.A. in Sociology from St. Lawrence University and a M.Ed. in Counseling from the University of New Hampshire.  She has worked with adolescents since 1983 as a health educator, private school teacher, youth services director at a Hispanic social service agency, and as a counselor.

Mrs. Milardo enjoys working with Chester Academy students and their families and especially likes watching their Health Triangles change during the middle school years!
