Together, we can accomplish more!

Being an active member of the Chester Academy PTA is a rewarding and memorable way to provide our children with an extraordinary academic and social experience.  We not only welcome your involvement, we rely on it!

What kind of volunteer opportunities are available?

- Set up/clean up crew

- Chair/Co-Chair an event (recruit a friend to help!)

- Participate in PTA meetings

- Administrative “at home” logistics

Benefits of volunteering:

- Being connected and meeting new people

- Being “in the know” about upcoming events

- Utilize your abilities to enhance our events

- Great way to give back to your community

While volunteers are welcome and encouraged to attend meetings it is not a requirement.

*All PTA Events are Free.  However, Non- members of the PTA are suggested to bring a $2 donation per person to help support our events.*

To become a basic member of the PTA for $20/year visit our membership page. Our goal is to have 100% participation rate.

Back to School BBQ - All grade levels come and meet your teachers, see friends, and enjoy some food.  School related organizations will be there too (Booster Club, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, etc).  Food/Donation sign-up sheets will be distributed 1-2 weeks prior to the event date.  Don’t forget to bring $20 for PTA Membership!

New Event:  Will you Boo-Hoo or Yahoo? - Celebrate the start to a new school year with a special time of fellowship.  Coffee, juice and breakfast goodies will be served.  Tears and cheers will be shared by all.  See you there.

Halloween Party - The Halloween party is open to the community for children up to 4th grade.   Join us in your costumes to play games and win prizes.  Make a craft and go home with treats.  5th Grade students help out at the event.  Fun for all.  Help is always needed the day prior to decorate and put goodie bags together as well as clean up at the end of the event.  Be on the lookout for volunteer opportunities.   

Chili Cook Off

Chili Cook Off - We need special Chester MEN to put their chili to the test.   Prizes are announced around 8PM.  If you aren't cooking, it's a FREE event to join us for a chili dinner.  Bring you taste buds and vote for your favorite chili!

Holiday Make N Take - Children will make holiday gifts for loved ones.  8th Graders assist kids in making their crafts.  Parents must be present.  Be on the lookout for sign up sheets, pre-registration is necessary.  If you are crafty and would like to take charge of a craft, please contact PTA/Chairperson.  Volunteers needed.

Bedtime in Chester - All elementary kids are welcome to come in pjs, bring a blanket, pillow and a favorite stuffed animal.  A variety of stories will be read by teachers including Principal Lacroix.  Parents must be present.

Father/Daughter Dance - A special event for Daughters to be with their Fathers.  Volunteers are always need to help decorate and provide refreshments.  Be on the lookout for volunteer opportunities.

Teacher/Appreciation - Teacher Appreciation is divided into 4 special days throughout the month of May.  Typically the month is celebrated with the following traditions:  breakfast, edible arrangements & chocolate, snack cart, potluck luncheon.  Volunteers are needed throughout the month.

Field Day - A special FUN day filled with activities throughout the entire day on all the fields.  8th graders and parent volunteers help run the activities.  Field Day would not be a success without the help of donations and volunteers.  Be on the lookout for more information and volunteer opportunities as we approach June.

Fall Fundraiser

Fall Fundraiser - This fundraiser not only helps the PTA but it also helps the 6th Graders.  6th Grade participants will have an opportunity to earn money to reduce the cost of their science camp.  This year we have some new products - cookie dough!  More information will be released at the end of September.  Volunteers needed.

MPR is the Multiple Purpose Room at the Chester Town Offices - 84 Chester Street.

**Dates and times are subject to change.  If you are interested in chairing/co-chairing any event, please contact the Chester PTA.  Many of our senior PTA Members will be leaving us because their kids are growing up and aging out of Chester Academy.  This is a great opportunity to train with the best and overlap efforts.

  • PTA Reflections is a nationally acclaimed student recognition program to encourage artistic creativity in the classroom and at home.  Students of all grades and abilities may participate and explore the arts based on the 2017-2018 theme:  Within Reach.  Students may choose one or all of the available arts categories:  dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts.
